Ways to serve

Here are a few of the many ways we have for members to serve!

Keep in mind that to work with children, you must complete the Reducing the Risk class.

  • Vacation Bible School

We have been using the excellent VBS material published by Answers in Genesis. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will be having a virtual Vacation Bible School this year, July 20-24.

  • Extended Sessions

We care for and teach children from infants through 4 years old during the worship services. Please see Cindy Wise in the church office if you would like to help in this area. 355-0949.

  • Awana

For children aged 2 through the 6th grade, this program focuses on Scripture memorization, and includes fun, unique games and Bible lessons. Awana meets on Wednesday nights during the school year from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Talk to Janice Donaldson to see where you can serve!

  • Adult Choir

All that's needed to join our choir is a love for music. No audition is necessary. It is helpful to have a rudimentary understanding of how a four-part choir works and a willingness to sing the same thing the other people in your section are singing! Talk to Robert Holland, or just come to a practice on Sunday afternoons in the sanctuary.

  • Usher

Men, please speak with Michael Walker or Jack Moore if you are interested in serving as an usher. You would pass out bulletins, greet visitors, and help latecomers find seating. The usher's face is usually the first one seen by a visitor so a great smile and a firm handshake are essential!
